Who We Are
AutoClimaGuide is an independent automotive resource dedicated to one thing: helping car owners understand, diagnose, and fix their vehicle’s air conditioning system without unnecessary dealer markups or misdiagnosed repairs.
The site was founded after years of watching car owners get charged $800 for a $40 expansion valve — simply because AC systems feel like black boxes to most people. We exist to open that box.
Who Writes Our Content
Our lead editor, Marcus Chen, is an ASE-certified automotive technician with 15+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle climate control systems, including a decade as a lead AC specialist in independent repair shops. Every guide on this site is written or technically reviewed by Marcus.
Our Editorial Standards
- Verified data: Part numbers, refrigerant capacities, and repair costs are checked against current manufacturer documentation — not scraped from other blogs.
- Practical focus: Every article is written for a car owner with basic tools, not a licensed tech with a $3,000 recovery machine.
- Regularly updated: AC specifications, refrigerant regulations, and parts pricing change. We revisit and update our guides as the market moves.
How We Make Money
AutoClimaGuide is reader-supported. When you purchase tools or parts through our affiliate links, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This never influences our product recommendations — we only recommend equipment we would use ourselves.
